Celebrating 23 Years of Overcoming Homelessness!
🌟 Today marks a significant milestone—23 years since the day I was faced with the unimaginable: being kicked out of my home on Christmas Eve. This moment could have defined my life in a negative way, but instead, it became the catalyst for an incredible journey through God’s grace and grit!
In the years that followed, I discovered the profound impact that community can have on an individual’s life. I have been blessed beyond measure by the kindness and generosity of so many who chose to lift me up when I was down. From the supportive embrace of the YMCA to the invaluable resources offered by the Safe House Coalition, I found hope, guidance, and a place to belong.
I owe a debt of gratitude to those who believed in me, including influential leaders like Bill Gates, Marco Rubio, and various educators and mentors within the University of Florida and TEDx community. Their investment in my future has not only shaped my path but has also inspired me to pay it forward.
To God be the glory for this incredible testimony! Each step I took was fueled by grit and the unwavering belief that better days were ahead. Today, I stand as a testament to the power of resilience and community support.
I urge you to consider supporting the Safe House Coalition to help other students like me. Together, we can break the cycle of homelessness and ensure that no young person becomes just a statistic.
