A God That's Never Too Busy!

A God that’s Never Too Busy

Have you ever gone along in your day, and your schedule is cluttered? Maybe you overbooked yourself with appointments colliding, and can’t even enjoy a 5-minute break? With the latest changes in society, many individuals have found themselves scheduling back-to-back zoom meetings, follow-up appointments and more. Sometimes, business just gets in the way of life, and you can’t even enjoy the people closest to you. Many leaders just find themselves explaining how busy they are, and that if you’d like a 30 minute conversation, get on their calendar.

The thing I love the most about God, is that even though He has an agenda for everyone on this earth, He’s never too busy to meet with anyone. God even petitions us to “Come unto me, all ye that are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” I don’t think God is twiddling his thumbs in heaven, but, I do think that He waits eagerly for us to give Him a chance everyday in our lives to spend time with Him.

You might wonder, God is busy managing this universe; why would he have time for me?” Well, scripture encourages us by letting us know that the eyes of the Lord roam to and fro in the earth, and that he beholds all sons of man (2nd Chronicles 16:9). God is intentionally looking down to see how we are living in this life . He is sincere in his interest in us. I know this is mind boggling, seeing that there are billions of people, various counties, and the solar system. However, he really does care for us. I guess this is why David in the Bible mentions, “Who am I that you are mindful of me?” (Psalm 8:4)

However, I’m here to bring you encouragement today! God Almighty is very interest in knowing who you are! He wants to hear about your day, and he desires to help you get out of any pickle you may find yourself in. He is not looking down with a ball of fire, ready to blast you into eternal flames; he is waiting with love and compassion for a friendship, relationships, partnership with you!

God is never too busy. He is omniscient, and omnipotent and omnipresent (1st John 3:20). This means that he knows everything, he is all powerful, and he is always everywhere. Therefore, talking to God would be nothing less than a benefit for you.

Believe it or not, God cares about even the small things in your life, from your health, what you ate, how your family is doing, desires you have for life, and more. He is known as our Comforter, and a loving and EVERLASTING Father. He’s not jaded and fickle like some “fathers”; he is our Heavenly Father, and He loves us with an everlasting love.

Hence, take time throughout your day and week, to chat it up with God, and take a chance at knowing him. You’ll be amazed at what happens next! God likes to answer our prayers, and this is why in Matthew 7:7 it says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be open unto you.” God is not sitting in heaven grudging holding back riches, miracles and healings or peace; He is waiting with His arms stretched out, ready to bless you.

So, give God a chance at life; He’s never too busy for you.

Here are some benefits of spending time with God:

  1. You will experience answered prayers: It fails me to tell you how many times God has answered prayers in my life concerning my family, health, finances, and even little annoyances from time to time. If you have faith, you will experience such a joy as you encounter the God that DOES answers prayers!
  2. You will develop a solid relationship with God: When I first started talking with God, I was a bit nervous; however, as I gave him a chance my relationship with him God better. He went from being viewed as a cold drill Seargent to my best-friend and champion. I wouldn't trade my relationship with Him for anything. I know his voice, and I know parts of his personality. (He is actually really funny at times lol). If you've never heard his voice, this would sound absolutely "off". However, I guarantee you, that Creator God is readily waiting for you to take a moment and listen to him and find out more about how loving he is and how much he really loves you.
  3. It will give you peace about the BIG picture in life: Sometimes, when we try to handle life on our own, we can only see 2 dimensionally and we are trying to ask humans to do things that only God can do for us, i.e., make the pain go away, heal that trauma and or disease, help me to forgive. Well, this is why we need God; so, he can help us in the areas of the impossible. So, as you give your life and problems to God, the impossible will become possible!! He said in his word that with God, all things are possible!
  4. You'll be ready for heaven: There might be an innate desire in you to meet God but you might not be sure whether or not you are truly ready and or worthy. Well, as you spend time with Him, He can help you know what it will take to be ready for that great and glorious day that many believers trust and hope for.

Conclusion

So, I don't know where you are in your journey of life; however, I just want to encourage you and remind you that whenever you feel ready to approach God, He'll be waiting for you. Remember, He's never too busy to have a good time talking with you about life. As you give Him a chance, enjoy the benefits of answered prayers, developing a solid relationship with Him, finding peace about life, and preparing for a life in paradise. I think as you step out on faith and give God a chance, you truly won't regret it. Enjoy!

Reflection on The Power of Grit Keynote to Vermont Teachers Speaking to the dedicated educators of Vermont about the Power of Grit was an inspiring and reaffirming experience. As I shared the pillars of grit—Growth Mindset, Resilience, Time Management, and Self-Efficacy—it was evident that these concepts resonated deeply with the teachers in the room. Their commitment to fostering perseverance and confidence in their students was both heartening and energizing. Throughout the keynote, I emphasized the transformative role of a growth mindset—how students who embrace challenges and see effort as a path to mastery are more likely to persist through difficulties. I could see educators nodding in agreement as they reflected on their own students' struggles and triumphs. Encouraging students to reframe failure as a learning opportunity is a crucial shift that builds not just better mathematicians, writers, and thinkers but also more resilient individuals. Resilience was another cornerstone of the discussion. I shared stories and strategies to help students push past obstacles and develop the endurance needed to navigate academic and personal challenges. The engagement in the room reaffirmed that teachers, too, are models of resilience, especially in today’s educational climate. One of the most practical elements of the keynote focused on time management—helping students (and educators) break down overwhelming tasks, set realistic goals, and prioritize effectively. The response to this section showed that time management remains a crucial skill, not only for students learning to structure their studies but also for teachers juggling multiple responsibilities. Finally, we explored the power of self-efficacy, that deep-seated belief that one’s efforts lead to success. We discussed ways to cultivate this mindset in students through intentional feedback, scaffolding, and celebrating small wins. Seeing the teachers reflect on how they could implement these strategies in their classrooms was incredibly rewarding. This keynote reaffirmed my belief that grit is not just a personal trait—it’s a culture that educators can foster in their classrooms, schools, and communities. Vermont’s educators left the session with new insights, actionable strategies, and a renewed commitment to equipping students with the perseverance and confidence needed for success. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this message, and I look forward to seeing the impact of their work in cultivating grit across the state. Thanks Vermont Rockstars. Stay gritty!

Coaching for Grit: Insights from My Virtual PLN Coaching Session This week, I had the incredible opportunity to speak at the Virtual PLN Coaching Session for Math Coaches, where I shared strategies for Coaching for G.R.I.T. It was a powerful discussion on how we, as coaches, can equip educators with the tools they need to cultivate resilience, self-efficacy, time management, and a growth mindset in their students. The Power of Coaching for Grit During my session, I introduced my G.R.I.T. Framework—which stands for: ✅ Growth Mindset – Helping students and educators embrace challenges as opportunities. ✅ Resilience– Encouraging perseverance through productive struggle. ✅ Self-Efficacy – Building confidence in one's ability to succeed. ✅ Time Management– Developing the discipline to break problems into manageable steps. As math coaches, we play a pivotal role in shaping both teacher effectiveness and student success. By embedding grit into our coaching practices, we empower teachers to create classrooms where students persist, problem-solve, and thrive—even when the content gets tough. Keep Building Grit! If you missed my session or want to dive deeper into the G.R.I.T. Framework, I invite you to explore my website: www.india-white.com. There, you’ll find: 📌 The G.R.I.T. Calendar—daily inspiration to keep you and your students motivated 📌 G.R.I.T. Resources for math educators and coaches 📌 The opportunity to book me for speaking engagements or G.R.I.T. training sessions! Let’s continue this important work together. Coaching for grit isn’t just about teaching math—it’s about changing mindsets and building resilient learners. Thank you to everyone who joined the session, and I look forward to seeing how you incorporate grit into your coaching practices! KeepBuildingGrit 💪 Love, India
