Hi! I am India White

Admin • Sep 09, 2012

Hi, I’m India. My passion is helping future generations through teaching, fundraising, and attending many community events to show moral support. My skills and areas of expertise are wrapped around educational leadership. I am a math teacher in FL. where I love making healthy connections with students while helping them break the cycle of poverty through graduating high school with a diploma. In addition, I am a Graduate Student at University of Florida, where I am pursuing an M. Ed. in Educational Leadership. I’ve already received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Florida (where I also was a Pride of the Sunshine Marching Band Member :P). My hobbies and interests include motivational speaking, teaching, writing, reading, playing the alto saxophone, and singing. I am an optimistic ambitious leader, and motivated to serve. I am purposed to accomplish every dream, and some!

Recently, I was awarded the 2012-2013 Alumni of the Year for Take Stock in Children, a non-profit organization that I’ve been affiliated with for over 15 years! I am very passionate about TSIC and about how they help give at-risk students scholarships for college during their middle school years. The program is phenomenal and it worked for me! Their website will blow your mind! http://www.takestockinchildren.org

I am also a proud Alumna of the Gates Millennium Scholars, an organization in which Bill and Melinda Gates fund the college education of scholars who purpose to serve their community in higher needed areas of study, i.e. education and math. Check out the website for more info! http://www.gmsp.org.

In addition, I was awarded the VIP National Executive Professional Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), a non-profit organization filled with women who are world changers!

I am a speaker at heart, and love to share my story with different organizations within the community to help impact society for the better. I have spoken for many organizations including, YMCA, BBBS, TSIC, Delta Sigma Theta, Public School Foundations across Florida, churches, and more! I am ready to serve you whenever needed and will remain an email away!

I am an honest, inspirational educational leader who cares about the needs in my community and the needs common to man. My purpose is to serve my community with charisma, compassion, and through an example of resilience against failure and hopelessness. As a team player, I plan to help lives across the globe, one relationship and destiny at a time! I believe everyone has a purpose and can change their world when it is their season!

During my Equity keynote at the math conference, a shared a powerful testimonial that resonated with many attendees! 🤩The testimonial highlighted the transformative impact of creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment for students🥰. We emphasized the importance of recognizing and addressing systemic barriers that hinder students' access to quality education. It’s my hope that all teachers have a reminder of the critical role educators play in promoting equity and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRwqhxYS/ #drindiawhite #indiawhite #nctm #wmc2024 #bwxme #savvas #math #teachers #students #education #principals #equity
